Wilshire Avenue Christian Preschool has an open door policy. Feel free to visit your child except between the hours of 12:30 and 2:30. The children are napping during those hours. You may still visit but please stop by the office first.

Wilshire Avenue Christian Preschool hours are from 7:00-6:00. We offer full day and half day programs. A half day is 8:30-12:30. If your child attends the full day program they may be dropped off and picked up anytime between the hours of 7:00-6:00.

The fall term is from September to June. The summer term is from mid June to August.

 

Typical Day at Wilshire Avenue Christian Preschool

7:00- 8:30 - Arrival and indoor activities (puzzles, painting, manipulative, blocks, reading, and playtime in the adventure zone)

8:30-8:45 - Morning together time/Chapel (calendar, story time, singing, and prayer)

8:45-9:00 - Bathroom and hand washing

9:00-9:15 - Snack time

9:15-10:30 - Centers (art, math, writing, manipulative, sensory, blocks, and dramatic play)

10:30-10:50 - Library (Monday), Science (Tuesday), Physical Education (Wednesday), Cooking (Thursday), and Adventure Zone (Friday)* See the schedule in your child’s classroom. (Each class has a different weekly schedule.)

10:50-11:00 -Bathroom and hand washing

11:00-11:30 - Outside Play time (bikes, play structure, easels, sand & water table, sandbox, playhouse, and table activities                                

11:30-12:15 - Lunch

12:15-12:30 - Bathroom, hand washing, and preparation for nap time

12:30-2:30 - Nap time

2:30-2:45 - Wake up and clean up nap blankets and cots

2:45-3:00 - Bathroom & hand washing

3:00- 3:15 - Snack time

3:15-4:00 -Inside activities (creative art, play dough, puzzles, book center, free play)

4:00-4:30 - Outside playtime (bikes play structure, easels, sand & water table, sandbox, playhouse, and table activities)

4:30-6:00 - Adventure Zone
